You have been hired by Specialty Hardware Incorporated to document the layout of the network. Complete the following tasks: Complete the network topology shown in the graphic by dragging the labels below with the appropriate router types, interface types, and IP addresses to the graphic . Find the information you need by using the router console attached to the R-CENTER router.

Answer and explanation:

 

This is the simplest lab question in four labs you see in the real CCNA exam. First we should identify the types of these routers by using the show cdp neighbors command:

ccna_configuration_show_cdp_neighbors

There are 3 columns we should pay more attention to:

+ Local Interface: the interface on the device you are using "show cdp neighbors" command. In this case it is the interface of R-CENTER router

+ Platform: the platform of neighbor device

+ Port ID: the neighbor device's port or interface on which the CDP packets are multicast

From the exhibit, the "Local Interface", "Platform" and "Port ID" columns, we can identify where these four routers should be placed and their corresponding associated ports

Finally, use the show running-config command to find out the ip addresses of four interfaces on R-CENTER

And we can easily assign corresponding ip addresses to four neighbor routers, which are on the same network with R-CENTER router's interfaces

Please remember in the real CCNA Exam the routers' types, ip addresses and interfaces may be different! So make sure you understand how it works.

could you explain why you have used the port ID's? As the port ID column shows different entries to the ones you have chosen. I would have used E1 for Birmingham and S0 for Boaz and for Relamap Fa0/0?

Has anyone tried to use the "show ip int br" command in order to get the IP addresses ?? in another word are all the commands available in the Real Exam

Only thing I have noticed in the exam is that some of the questions will say command "sh running-config" is not available but "show ip int br" should be available if not then you have alternate "sh int" command that might take few more secs to dig info but you should be able to find IP addresses.

9tut is great help I have seen all the questions in the exam.

Don't forget to type: enable before "show running-config" otherwise it won't work in the exam

Not only in the exam but also in real router, we have to type enable in user mode and at the privileged mode only show commands work. If you wanna use "show" commands you should come to privileged mode

why we can't placed the Router 2514 with the interface Fa0/1 of the centre router?.

Same thing why can't we swap the Router 2501 and 2620?.

To Moon: maybe you can use them but I recommend you should learn the full commands

To varun21: From the "show cdp neighbors" output we learned that the 2514 router must be associated with Fa0/0 interface of the center router. Same thing for two other routers

To mchokk: No, you might see the simulation questions at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of your test. And there is no time limit, but don't spend too much time for one question because you have a "whole time" limit

I prepared p4s3.22.all questions were from the dumps only. and all simulations were from 9tut. (i got dhcp group of 4 questions, ccna implementation sim, ccna eigrp lab question, ccna vtp sim question)

What a relief.......I passed the CCNA today. Thanks a lot man(9tut). Specially for the sim questions..everything you have said about it is true. My score is 965. and i just only review for 2 weeks. Also try to concentrate in ps4 all the questions from there came out to my exam so i confidently answered all the questions...again thanks 9tut.

In my exam there were 2qs part from p4s 3.22 (i took exam on 9th Feb). One was ipv6(easy, just you should remember ipv6 addressing standard) and another was basic switching problem(easy)

i wrote my exams just yesterday and got 918, i didnt study with the simulator on the labs so i was seeing some new things there which really wasted my time. i will advise any one going for it to just try and work with the simulator to be able to see what it really looked like configuring. you need to get use to it before you get to the exams.

Hi Michael ,Yes it is valid and 90-95 questions come from p4s and do complete all the labs in this section.
Dont worry michael even the colour of the question matches in the real exam but labs be sure u do it from this site.I gave my exam yesterday and i got 953/1000

Today I passed CCNA with 965 marks.
All labs were from here, 9tut website and all
other things else came from pass4sure v3.22.
But there was one question not from pass4sure v3.22.
Just one.
By the way thanks to ALGERIANO who makes 770 question
set. I studied from there. There, explanation are good.
The labs I got are 1 central router and 4 other routers, eigrp lab,
3 routers and 1 switch lab, switch network.
only 4 labs, i think, :)
Hot spot question is about DHCP set. From pass4sure v3.22.
Altogether 48 questions.

I would resolve ths issue in a simple and different way:
First you make a show ip interfaces brief so you can know your interfaces and ip addresses.
Secondly I would make a show cdp neighbors detail so you see all details of your neighbours INCLUDING ip addresses.

Here is the new version P4S v7.58, yes it isn't a typo. Pass4sure new version is v7.58.

The WinRAR file includes both setup files v8.14 and the new v7.58, it also includes the steps and video on how to crack it.
I will recommend to use a virtual machine and install on that so you don't have to modify your real PC. You can use Virtual Box, VMware, or VirtualPC, among others.

hey i have one doubt in this question......... the center router that is R-CENTER have already connected to all other 4 routers?..... R-CENTER is not connected to any router na.... then how can u use sh cdp neighbours.....this commad will show only the details about connected neighbors routers right.... ple clear this doubt...

Yes, the center router has already connected to all other 4 routers. The question just want us to identify the platforms of these 4 routers and drag the router pictures to the right locations.

192.168.16.33 - 192.168.16.46 bebongs to sub-network 192.168.16.32 255.255.255.240 so we can invert the subnet mask to get the wildcard mask -> 0.0.0.15. The answer is "access-list 1 permit 192.168.16.32 0.0.0.15"

Passes my test 2day with 95%... Want to thank a lot of people n u 9tut guys, u juss topped that list.... Thank You very much for your support and help...

All the simulators came from the 9tut... n all the questions were from p4s.7.73.... Also there were a couple of drag and drops from security portion which can ring some alarms but if u'hv completed the Todd Lammle...they r not going 2 be a worry... N please please please all you there looking 2 crack this exam get your subnetting issues fixed because they are looking for it in almost every question....
