i am trying to configure Router on a stick in packet tracer using 2950 switch and 2811 router.
the 2950 switch does not support switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q command.
plz tell me which devices to use for this lab and also if it is possible or not in packet tracer.

Took the exam today, scored 973/1000. 48Q, 3 Sims (mentioned by Aamir Shahzad #63) most Questions found on this site.

Q1 states that if i copy another IOS into flash then the device (router or switch) will have two IOS versions stored in its flash. Which IOS will be loaded into RAM from flash. How can we make a router choose a specific IOS?

by write some instruction in config register or in nvram , i think

@Sofi…..If u copy another IOS into flash(router or switch),it requests u ‘Do u want to delete the old version ios?’ during copy dialog.I think….!!!

This is what I’ve got to say.
I referred Todd Lammle completely and after that I went through all the qs in this site and dumps.

I did collisio twice and A,B,C xams of Dharani (Almost all the questions were in collisio).
You must understand the concepts clearly and I don’t think it is possible to pass only using dumps.
And also about 10-20 answers were wrong in collisio. So refer the questions here anytime you have doubts!

There is one important thing about EIGRP sim.
In my question I was told the connection to ISP couldn’t be achieved. So completing all the configurations I couldn’t ping ISP. I tried everything. As it was wasting time, I quit the sim and then I remembered I forgot to save the config.
So I think it MAY not require to check the connection with ISP and after quitting the sim don’t get upset if you forgot to save the config! BUT ALWAYS SAVE YOUR CONFIG AT THE END.

Hi guys,

on modification 2 of ACL sim 2 is it correct to place the access-list nearest to the source which is fa0/0 and use “ip access-group 100 in”. Tried it on the Packet Tracer sim and it worked 100% but will the actual exam prefer that instead of placing it on the outbound interface going to fa0/1?

same with modification 4 of the ACL sim 2. My exam is due in 7 hours and i just thought of this now lol

@packets if you put on fa0/0 you only filter traffic from Lan, traffic from the core will be permitted, but if you put on fa0/1 you will fiter both traffic (from the lan/core)

@adi yeah my point exactly. on the ACL2 Lab sim here modification 2 and 4 requires us to filter some host or the whole LAN only.

the filtering below are for the LAN side only. since cisco’s rule is the extended acl should be nearest to the source, would the exam mark it wrong if we place the access-group on fa0/1 out

Modification 1
-permit host B from accessing finance server
-deny host B from accessing the OTHER server (not the whole network)
-permit everything else

Modification 4
-Host C should be able to use a web browser to access the financial web server
-Other types of access from host C to the finance web server should be blocked
-All hosts in the core and on the local LAN should be able to access the Public web server *

i guess it all boils down to what answer cisco wants..

@ at modification 1, maybe they want pings for example from lan and core to be permitted..
@ at modification 4, it’s evident to put in fa0/1 -OUT, because of last requirement
