Please share with us your experience after taking the exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations…

According to the comments here and some other places, you might see the EIGRP, VTP, Access-list 2 sims (Access-list 2 is an old sim but they revived it). And one notice in the VTP sim is they can change the root bridge and the Configuration Revision Number so make sure you grasped the concept.

Make sure you understand all the sim-labs on this site because all the sims you might see in your exam were posted here.

I will continue to update this page when I get news about the exam. If you know anything new, please comment here (especially about lab-sim questions). All of us are waiting for your guide!

Note: We have a topic of Frequently Asked Questions & Tips for CCNA learners, surely you will find valuable information about the CCNA exam there.

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Please don’t ask for links to download copyright materials here…

Hope you will find useful information from friends who have taken the CCNA exam!

    Hi Guys

    que:
    Which two state are the port stated when RSTP has converged (choose two)
    A. blocking
    B. learning
    C. disabled
    D.Forwarding
    E. listening

    Dump: Disable and Forwarding
    And RSTP converge when all port states are on forwarding, discard
    so I would choose Blocking and Forwarding in this question. Which option is correct between blocking and disable?

    @Paulie

    It should be Blocking and Forwarding. My example below was taken on a 2960 switch running RSTP.

    Gi0/1 Altn BLK 3004 128.25 P2p
    Gi0/2 Root FWD 3004 128.26 P2p

    A host is attempting to send data to another host on a different network. What is the first action that the sending host will take?

    i searched a lot in todd lammle book n cbt nugget vids

    chk todd lammle book 6th ed. 331-332 pages..process 5 6 7 (ip routing process… its quite confusing to me dunno why hav to read it again…n again)

    and

    cbt nuggest ccent07 vid.. 6:50 to 7:10 vid time u ll get…
    as jeremy says first host a compare ip add with his ip n cm to knw that ip is in remote network then host a broadcast arp request to get host b ‘s mac add….

    router discard it…

    that means host a create arp request but it fails….

    then host a send packet to default gatway….

    broadcast arp is works in only local network only…..

    but from cbt nugget vids i cm to knew c is correct answer…. however its discarded by router but host a did it first then send packet to default gateway…

    correct me sm1…….

    Which are valid ipv6 addresses(choose all that apply)
    A. ::
    B. ::192:168:0:1
    C. 2000::
    D. 2001:3452:4952:2837::
    E. 2002:c0a8:101::42
    F. 2003:dead:beef:4dad:23:46:bb:101

    can you explain me this question? i keep reading this on todd lammle on my official book of cisco and on internet but i can’t grasp the concept, i can’t find any good source to study, i’d prefer to have somewhere to go and learn how this thing works rather memorize it and just hope or guess the answer by chance or rumors.

    i need a good explanation please expecially on the meaning of the / at the end of the addresses, i just can’t understand it well on ipv6, need help please my exam is close

    Yes, you are correct, RSTP is using discarding. But from the choices, we cannot see any discarding.

    So the closest answer i could think of is blocking.

    @ Stefano,

    1. :: equals 0.0.0.0 in IPV4

    2. B : this is the way how IPV4 address can be written in IPV6

    3. E : before 42 there are groups which contains 0000 so to make it shorten :: has been used

    4. F: this is a valid one because it has 8 octets with hexadecimal number.

    Hey guys , need help on the following questions. I know dual stack and tunneling are correct methods for the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 . However , I can’t seem to find a third method.

    451.Which three approaches can be used while migrating from an IPV4 addressing scheme to an IPV6 scheme.(choose three)
    A. statically map IPV4 address to IPV6 addresses
    B. configuration IPv4 tunnels between IPV6 islands
    C. use DHCPv6 to map IPV4 addresses to IPV6 addresses
    D. use proxying and translation to translate IPV6 packets into IPV4 packets
    E. configure IPV6 directly
    F. enable dual-stack routing

    445.which three approaches can be used while migrating from an ipv4 addressing scheme to an ipv6 scheme

    DO I loose marks if I dont double check (do this steps) before I save.
    In my exam I did not do this steps.

    In the real exam, just click on host C and open its web browser. In the address box type http://172.22.242.23 to check if you are allowed to access Finance Web Server or not. If your configuration is correct then you can access it.

    Click on other hosts (A, B and D) and check to make sure you can’t access Finance Web Server from these hosts.

    Finally, save the configuration
