There are two MAC addresses learned from FastEthernet0/5 while FastEthernet0/5 is not configured as trunk (only Fa0/2 & Fa0/3 are configured as trunk links) -> a hub is used on this port.

    Q1 – dynamic desirable is the only DTP mode listed that will connect to dynamic auto

    Q2 – native vlans are untagged on trunk ports

    Q3 – vtp is not configured so A will not work — B is the only other correct answer

    @ Shruti- Answer B is correct only as it works for layer 2 and layer 3 switches by default if you use this command “Switchport mode dynamic desirable”.

    If you use “”switchport mode trunk” directly in a Layer 3 switches it when the other end is configured to trunk mode on an L2 switch it will throw an error. To remove that error you will need to to first configure Ëncapsulation dot1q” sinec it supports ISL and dot1q encapsulation and three negotiation modes to form the trunk links which are “” ISL, TRUNK and ON” and then you can use switchport mode trunk command . By default on L3 switches negotiation mode will be ON mode . so for taht yu need to change the encapsulation to dot1q first .So when an L2 switch is connected to L3 switch the most appropriate answer would be B. dynamic desirable

    Q3 by default 2950/3550 has “dynamic desirable”, while 2960/3650 has “dynamic auto”
    It’s another stupid question from Cisco. No information about dtp mode.

    There is a Fault in the explanation of the first question!
    Trunk + Auto forms a Trunk link, Auto + Auto not.

    For question 1.
    If one side is trunk another side is Dynamic auto the link will become Trunk.
    Because Trunk link sends DTP to remote switch to get a trunk link. So the answer D is absolutely true. B is also true

    why F. A hub is connected directly to FastEthernet0/5 ??? CDP tells us is CISCO 2950 switch so thats not hub
    In the same Question in explanation “FastEthernet0/5 is not configured as trunk… ” I don’t see show interfaces trunk command in the Exhibit, so from what this statement ?

    802.1Q trunking ports carry all the traffic of all VLANs so it cannot be the secure ports. A secure port should be only configured to connect with terminal devices (hosts, printers, servers…) -> B is not correct.

    The Inter-Switch Link (ISL) encapsulation requires FastEthernet or greater to operate but 802.1q supports 10Mb/s Ethernet interfaces. -> C is correct.

    802.1Q supports point-to-multipoint connectivity. Although in Cisco implementation, a “trunk” is considered a point-to-point link but 802.1q encapsulation can be used on an Ethernet segment shared by more than two devices.     The native VLAN that is configured on each end of an 802.1Q trunk must be the same. This is because when a switch receives an untagged frame, it will assign that frame to the native VLAN. If one end is configured VLAN1 as the native VLAN while the other end is configured VLAN2 as the native VLAN, a frame sent in VLAN1 on one side will be received on VLAN2 on the other side -> E is correct.

    B. Multiple devices are connected directly to FastEthernet0/1.
    C. FastEthernet0/1 is configured as a trunk link.
    D. FastEthernet0/1 is connected to a host with multiple network interface cards E. FastEthernet0/5 has statically assigned MAC addresses.
    F. A hub is connected directly to FastEthernet0/5

    The best way to answer this question is through eliminations:
    C & F are correct
