Share your CCNA Experience
The new CCNA 200-301 has come to replace the old CCNA 200-125 exam so we create the “Share your new CCNA Experience” for everyone to share their experience to prepare for this new exam.
We have a topic of Frequently Asked Questions & Tips for CCNA learners, surely you will find valuable information about the CCNA exam there.
Note:
+ The CCNA 200-301 exam include lab sims, multiple choice and Drag drop questions.
+ You can use shortcut command (like “int”, “no sh”, “conf t”…), “tab” and “?” in the simulations of the exam.
+ The lab sims will be shown at the beginning, not in the middle of the exam (changed since November 2025). Currently there are 4 lab sims in each exam.
Please share with us your experience to prepare for the new CCNA 200-301 exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…
Your posts are warmly welcome! Hope you will find useful information from friends who have taken the new CCNA exam!

I passed the exam. I got 68 questions and 4 simulation labs.
The labs were about OSPF, IP addressing, VLANs, LACP, CDP
, trunking configurations. Most of the labs were simple and if you practice the labs here on 9tut, you will configure them without problem.
I would say 30% of the questions were new, but half of these new questions were similar to questions here. Make sure you understand theory, at least from high level.
I passed, huge thanks to 9tut! I had 4 labs and 68 questions. The labs were VLAN & LLDP, OSPF DR, IPv4 and IPv6, and Static Routing. I would say about 80% of the questions were the same as here. I also used Jeremy’s IT Lab for theory and to strengthen my understanding of CCNA concepts.
My suggestion: Find some video guides on how to quickly calculate subnetting using a subnetting cheat sheet board—otherwise, it can really drain your time on these questions.
Someone who did the exam lately, did you have questions where you had to configure wlc? Also what felt like the hardest topic for you on the exam? Were new questions harder and different?
Yes.
The format of CCNA exam has been changed: You will see 4 lab sims at the beginning, not in the middle of the exam.
@9tut if you got perfect score on multiple choice and you failed all sims you still pass?
@Ian, you need to passed also the sim question bcoz it score around 80-100pts per lab sim.
@cipher001 thanks. last week of november is my schedule to take the exam.
@Ian, Good luck. You can do it.

I passed the exam. My test had: 68 questions – 4 labs (OSPF, LACP, IP access list, voice VLAN and LLDP, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing). All the labs were from here but with the IPs changed.
NOTE: In the new version of the exam, the labs are the first questions.

Unforfunately, I failed the exam but immediatley i was hit with 4 simulation labs back to back & 68 questions.
The labs were about OSPF, IP addressing, VLANs. Only 1 lab was simple. There were a lot of Automation questions this time around, but i agree half of these new questions were similar to questions on here. There were some similar Drag & drop scenarios but i also recommend re-cap on flashcards as you will never know the unexpected.
I’ll definitly be taking re-taking the exam again next month.
Also, remember to save your configs on each device!
Make sure you understand theory & the trickery subnets.
@ET from what country are you?
Hi, Guys.
Fortunely, i’ve passed in my exam yesterday, there was 60% new questions, i was hit with 4 simulation labs back to back & 68 questions.
4 labs (OSPF, Norma and Voice VLAN and LLDP, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing dual stack).
Study hard, things are not easy.
@9tut, do you have an updated questions and sims?
here guys, anyone here kind enough to share recent valid dumps with me, please send to zjane3551 at gmail.com
@9tut Do we have Updated dumps
Hey everyone! Took my exam today and passed! I had 4 labs in the middle of my exam ( I imagine it’s either at the beginning or the middle just by chance ) my labs were OSPF, VLAN Assignment with LLDP, 802.1q Trunking and LACP and IPv4 and IPv6 Addressing.
All of the questions I got were from 9tuts New Section and the 200-301 section aside from the experimental questions that don’t count for marks. The majority of them ( I’d say 90% ) were from the new section
I recommend using Anki cards for all of the questions and just doing that for 2-3 months that’s what I did and it was a breeze. Make sure you understand subnetting as it’s kinda hard to memorize numbers like that.
Congratulations on passing the exam, may I know how did you create flash cards for questions available on this site and is it possible for you to share them at comptias98@gmail.com..

Hi Guys, just did the exam today – there were 72 questions total, had labs “OSPF, VLAN Assignment with LLDP, 802.1q Trunking and LACP and IPv4 and IPv6 Addressing” (same as Anonymous November 26th, 2025 – coincidence?). Rough structure in order: 10 questions, 4 labs, 62 questions. Passed with 80% automation, 90% network access, 80% ip connectivity, 90% ip services, 80% security, 85% network fundamentals.
On to ENCOR next year!
Good luck
@network cable, how many percent of the questions came from 9tut?
@Mae from my feeling, all of them were from 9tut (cisco adds a few questions which are not rated for their testing). Can’t say for certain if all were from here, but it was easy after doing the composite quizzes
@Mae i’m from California, USA
@network cable, thanks much for the info!
@9tut. Can you add the following sims for practice? 1. VLAN Assignment with LLDP 2. IPv4 and IPv6 Addressing 3. 802.1q Trunking and LACP. Thank You!
