Share your CCNA Experience

March 7th, 2020 Go to comments

The new CCNA 200-301 has come to replace the old CCNA 200-125 exam so we create the “Share your new CCNA Experience” for everyone to share their experience to prepare for this new exam.

We have a topic of Frequently Asked Questions & Tips for CCNA learners, surely you will find valuable information about the CCNA exam there.

Note:
+ The CCNA 200-301 exam include lab sims, multiple choice and Drag drop questions.
+ You can use shortcut command (like “int”, “no sh”, “conf t”…), “tab” and “?” in the simulations of the exam.
+ The lab sims will be shown at the beginning, not in the middle of the exam (changed since November 2025). Currently there are 4 lab sims in each exam.

Please share with us your experience to prepare for the new CCNA 200-301 exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome! Hope you will find useful information from friends who have taken the new CCNA exam!

@lacp thank you for listing those, I have taken the test and failed earlier this year(twice) and I am retaking it soon and need to grind some labs.
I struggled with these groups: wifi setup, IPv6, and there were so many spanning tree questions. :(

@Anonymous26 Could you help me by answering my questions? Hello, I’m taking the exam on the 20th. One question: do I need to do the new questions? I’ve done all the ones for each topic. Will that be enough? I’ve seen that many of you say that questions 15 and 16 come up, but I don’t understand. Are they all from 15 and 16? Regarding the labs “OSPF, VLAN Assignment with LLDP, 802.1q Trunking and LACP, and IPv4 and IPv6 Addressing,” are they exactly the same except for the IPs, or are they different? Thank you very much, and please let me know if you can answer my question.

Does anyone know if the OSPF, VLAN Assignment with LLDP, 802.1q Trunking and LACP, and IPv4 and IPv6 Addressing labs are the same as those on 9tut? Also, do you know if many of the new questions from parts 15 and 16 will appear on the exam?

I just took the test today and passed, there were 72 questions in total, including 4 labs.
The labs were on OSPF, IPv4 and IPv6 static routing, creating data and voice VLANs and applying them to interfaces, and LACP configuration.
I can say that 50% of the questions are on 9tut. Be prepared, because the test isn’t that easy, go when you’re getting around 90% on timed practice tests. I passed with 85%, but I don’t recommend it.
